If you’re lucky you’ll get there during one of their special events and if you’re close by, you can even check out some of their programs and recreational activities. They always have something going on and even if you aren’t interested in any of those activities, it’s a gorgeous place to walk around while you let that pizza digest!
Shops of Boot Ranch
Feel like a little retail therapy? Check out the Shops of Boot Ranch! They have a Target that you can cruise around as well as a Gamestop where you can pick up all of your favorite gaming gear as well as the newest game releases!
Wall Springs Park
Another incredible park in the area, the Wall Springs Park includes a historical natural spring, an incredible nature trail, playground equipment for the kids, saltwater fishing spots, and you’re guaranteed to spot some great wildlife while you’re there.
Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation, Inc.
The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation is a rescue sanctuary and a non-profit organization. For a small entry fee, you can view the animals of the sanctuary including chimpanzees, orangutans, and lemurs. All animals have been rescued from neglectful and abusive situations and the sanctuary is dedicated to providing them with the lifelong care that they deserve.
The Innisbrook Resort
If golf is more of your thing, drop by and check out the Copperhead Course! This 18 hole golf course is 7,200-yards and is 1 of 4 at the Innisbrook Resort. While you’re playing golf, the Innisbrook resort also offers plenty of activities for the rest of the family including doggie yoga (we recommend the yoga before the pizza!), a relaxing spa, tennis, and a pool!
Honeymoon Island State Park
Honeymoon Island State Park is one of the more popular local hotspots and it’s definitely one worth checking out! A Florida State Park located on Honeymoon Island (a barrier island across from Palm Harbor, Ozona, and Crystal Beach on St. Joseph’s Sound. Standing at 385 acres in land area with 2,400 acres submerged and 4 miles of beach, Honeymoon Island State Park has plenty of activities for the whole family. Activities include boat tours, birding, fishing, camping, canoeing, geo-seeking, horseback riding, paddling, shelling, surfing, wildlife viewing, and it’s also a popular wedding location!
